you tripped in appearing so out of work
feeling rings thru my hands from the phone
deer they hang ankles thin from the hunt
shunned by cold motherhood close the door
and in a decade i'll come in find you
inside of nothing
what have you brought home?
we'll reach perfection in other bodies
oceans in cities; the rain it has not stopped
a different distance in two weeks time now
and never enter these clothes, we'll pine in grey
eaten whole
twelve years old
was it so?
transporting peacefully in a storm
bleeding chores
we switched roles
i was there
and in a decade i'll come in find you
inside of nothing
what have you brought home?
we'll reach perfection in other bodies
oceans in cities; the rain it has not stopped
a different distance in two weeks time now
and never enter these clothes, we'll pine in grey
lock up so i don't see you again
copy a key and keep three so sweetly
and ever leisurely you'll call my name
only in dreams i've ever kept it this clean
Such a special album I struggle to think of what to say about it. At times I'm afraid or put off even listening to it and sometimes its the most comforting thing in the world. I got this from a vinyl code and I only listened to that physical copy of it the morning after the night my dog died. The first time I ever lost someone that meant the world to me and it was the first time I didn't cry to it. This album is beautiful and if youre reading this, you are loved memon_dayz

As exciting as experimental rock gets, Poorly Drawn House's controlled minimalist chaos is like caffeinated slowcore. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 17, 2024
